MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang yesterday assured actress Cherry Pie Picache that police officers are doing what they can to run after those behind her mother’s death.
“We are committed to find those who killed her mother. We’d also like to express condolences to Ms. Cherry Pie Picache for the untimely demise of her mother,” Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda told radio station dzRB.
Picache’s mother Zenaida was found dead at her house in Quezon City during the height of Tropical Storm Mario last Friday.
The 75-year-old victim was not answering Picache’s calls, prompting the actress to go to her house. Picache’s driver found the body of Zenaida, who died of stab wounds.
