Botched drug deal eyed in Caloocan slay

MANILA, Philippines - A botched illegal drug deal could be behind the murder of an unidentified man in Caloocan City Sunday night, police said yesterday after scene of the crime operatives recovered from the victim a plastic sachet containing shabu.

Police have yet to identify the victim, described to be between 30 and 35 years old, 5”5 tall and clad in a red shirt and black shorts.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Mark Andrew Bartolome said the victim was found dead in front of Saint Matthew Funeral Homes in Barangay Bagong Silang with a gunshot wound in the head.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation for the identification and arrest of the suspect.
