Metro

C-5 Road section closed to traffic

Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Motorists should avoid the portion of C-5 Road’s southbound lane near Greenmeadows Subdivision in Pasig City starting at 11 p.m. tonight until 4 a.m. tomorrow, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said yesterday.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said this portion of C-5 Road will be completely closed to vehicular traffic to allow for the construction of a footbridge.

Tolentino said a zipper lane on the northbound (Katipunan-bound) lane of C-5 Road will be opened to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

According to the MMDA, the pedestrian footbridge is a project of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
