MMDA suspends number coding today, Monday

MANILA, Philippines - The unified vehicular volume reduction program (UVVRP), better known as the “number coding” scheme, is suspended today and on Monday, Aug. 25, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced yesterday.
In an advisory, the MMDA said the UVVRP will be suspended today – including in Makati City and Las Piñas – since Ninoy Aquino Day and Aug. 25, National Heroes’ Day are public holidays.
The UVVRP is lifted across Metro Manila during weekends and during public holidays.
