Unidentified man slain in Manila

Aie Balagtas See - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Nine bullets ended the life of a still unidentified man in Baseco compound in Manila yesterday.

The victim – reportedly a Pakistani – died on the spot after sustaining gunshot wounds in the face, chest, and legs.

The victim was believed to have been shot about 2 a.m., although his body was only discovered about three hours later. His attacker, meanwhile, has yet to be identified.

According to Police Officer 3 Dennis Turla, residents near the crime scene claimed that none of them knew the victim.

“Someone even asked if he was into money lending. He reportedly said no and that he was from Quiapo,” Turla said.

Turla said the victim was about six feet tall, and between 25 and 30 years old. He was wearing a blue shirt and a pair of jogging pants at the time of the attack.
