Cracks found in Pasay school buildings
MANILA, Philippines - Students of two Pasay City schools will have to study at home temporarily after cracks on the floors of the public school buildings were discovered yesterday.
The local government ordered the indefinite suspension of classes at the Villamor Air Base Elementary School and at the Pasay City South High School.
The school buildings were found to have cracks, prompting school administrators to close them down temporarily.
Principals of both schools said learning materials such as modules and online courses will be given to the students so they could continue with their studies at home.
Makeshift classrooms are being built for the affected students.
Classes will be held in these temporary structures while repairs on the school buildings are being done.
Officials target to finish the construction in 20 days.
