MANILA, Philippines - A 75-year-old woman died after she was hit by a motorcycle in Valenzuela City Sunday afternoon.
Police said Adela Uy, 75, of Fortune Village 5, Barangay Paso de Blas, died while undergoing treatment at the Valenzuela General Hospital.
The motorcycle rider, Fred Pencalin, of San Simon, Pampanga, was injured in the accident.
Police said charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide are being readied against him.
Reports said that Uy was crossing San Diego street in Barangay Paso de Blas at around 4 p.m. when she was struck by the motorcycle driven by Pencalin.
