MANILA, Philippines - A taxi driver and his two accomplices robbed a call center manager and forced her to withdraw P20,000 from an automated teller machine (ATM) in Mandaluyong City Thursday night.

Elisah Abigan-o, 34, told police she flagged down the taxi, with plate number TQR-983, in Pasig City at around 8 p.m. and asked to be taken to Kamagong street in Makati City.

However, just before reaching the VRP Medical Center, the driver stopped and allowed two men into the taxi. The robbers took her wallet, P1,000, a cell phone worth P10,000 and a P5,000 watch, Abigan-o said.

The driver went to a bank and ordered Abigan-o at gunpoint to withdraw P20,000 from her account. The robbers dropped her off at the corner of EDSA and Lions Road and handed her P200 for her fare home, she told police.

Mandaluyong police chief Senior Superintendent Tyrone Masigon ordered a manhunt for the taxi driver and his accomplices.
