MANILA, Philippines - An office at Camp Karingal had one of its tables destroyed when a Japanese man – accused by his Filipina wife of beating her up – went berserk at Camp Karingal Monday.
Yuki Fushimi, was charged on Monday before the fiscal not only with malicious mischief for the damaged table at the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), but also with another criminal case for tearing a P500 bill during the commotion.
His wife had decided not to press charges for the beating she allegedly experienced at the hands of her husband, but Fushimi remains detained at Camp Karingal because of the other charges.
Inspector Edith Castro, head of the QCPD-WCPD, said the couple was at their office at past midnight Monday as the woman wanted to file a complaint against her husband.
At around 2 a.m., as the case was being investigated, Fushimi asked for money to buy food at a store. The woman gave him P500 but he tore the bill and became unruly.
Castro said the Japanese national managed to destroy a table in the office during the commotion.
