5 rob suspects nabbed for traffic offense

MANILA, Philippines - Five alleged members of a gang linked to several robberies in Malabon were arrested for going the wrong way on a one-way street before dawn yesterday.

James Patrick Ermac, 22; Johnxander Bautista, 20; Rodel Cruz, 33; Anthony Sarmiento, 22; and Gloreto Flor were on motorcycles when they were seen by police officers on patrol at around 2:30 a.m., Malabon police chief Senior Superintendent Severino Abad Jr. said.

The men yielded a .38 caliber revolver, a gun replica, several knives and two sachets of shabu.
