P4-M Porsche abandoned in San Juan

MANILA, Philippines - A luxury car was found abandoned in San Juan City and has been with the local police for the past several days, an official said yesterday.

No one has claimed the black Porsche Cayenne, found parked along Connecticut street in Greenhills last week, Senior Inspector Melchor Rosales said.

A parking attendant noticed the car – worth around P4 million – parked in the area for three days. When police officers responded to the scene, Rosales said all the car doors were locked, with the key still in the ignition.   

Police officers also found a hairpin in the car.

According to Rosales, the vehicle turned out to have been rented from  BDO Rental Inc. and investigators are still coordinating with the car rental firm to determine who rented it and why it was abandoned.

He said they are asking residents if they have footage taken by their surveillance cameras showing who drove or parked the car.
