Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), which runs the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, is opening the bidding for a closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance system for the airport, an official said yesterday.

Vicente Guerzon, MIAA senior assistant general manager, invited contractors to join the bidding for the P487-million project, which involves installing the system within 240 calendar days.

He said that with the system, the MIAA can monitor vehicles and people going to and from NAIA terminals and the surrounding areas.

Guerzon said the bidding will be conducted using the pass or fail criterion specified in the revised implementing rules and regulations of Republic Act 9184, the government procurement law.

The issuance of bid documents will be from tomorrow until Aug. 15. The pre-bid conference will be on July 18. The bids will be opened on Aug. 15, Guerzon said.
