MMDA nakahanda sa tigil pasada bukas

Pilipino Star Ngayon

"We are ready to provide additional vehicles for ‘Libreng Sakay’ to serve the commuters,” pahayag ni Tolentino na siya ring pinuno ng Presidential Task Force on Transport Strikes and Mass Actions (TRASMA).

"We recognize the transport groups’ right to voice their grievances but this should not affect nor greatly inconvenience the rights of the greater majority to conduct their daily business as protected likewise by the general welfare clause of the Constitution.”

Magsasagawa ng kilos protesta ang grupo ng mga tsuper at operator na Stop and Go Coalition na tumututol sa ipatutupad ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board  at Department of Transportation and Communications na mas mataas na multa sa mga bumabiyaheng pampublikong sasakyang walang prangkisa.

Aabot sa P6,000 ang multa sa mga motorsiklo, P50,000 sa mga jeep, P120,000 sa mga kotse, P200,000 sa mga van at trak, at halos P1 milyon sa mga bus.
