Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Two traffic constables were dismissed from service while seven others were suspended for extortion, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino said yesterday.

Tolentino did not identify the two traffic constables from the Traffic Discipline Office (TDO) but said they were assigned along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City.

Meanwhile, seven other traffic constables were charged with grave misconduct and placed on preventive suspension for 90 days.

Rommel Millanes, Larry Tibos, Romeo Rabaya, Ariel Merin, Elmer Santos, Marlo Gateos and Cesar Aguilar are facing termination from service if they are proven guilty, Tolentino said.
