2 hired killers nabbed in QC
MANILA, Philippines - Two men who confessed to being hired killers were arrested by Quezon City policemen who noticed that their motorcycle had no plates.
A .45 caliber pistol, a hand grenade and a sachet of shabu were confiscated from Hairal Suhaili and Omar Mangbalo when they were arrested at the intersection of E. Rodriguez Jr. and Mercury Avenues at past 8 a.m. yesterday, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Superintendent Richard Albano said.
The two men – both jobless and residents of Maharlika Village, Taguig City – were with a 16-year-old girl at the time.
QCPD Station 12 commander Superintendent Dario Añasco said the suspects admitted to working as hired killers and participated in at least six murders in Metro Manila.
The suspects were about to meet a group somewhere in Antipolo when they were arrested in Quezon City.
Albano said investigators will verify the information provided by the suspects.
