MANILA, Philippines - Two pedicab drivers engaged in a knife fight in Tondo, Manila Thursday night, sending one to the morgue and the other to the hospital.

Ronnie Datu, 35, died while being treated at the Tondo Medical Center while his opponent, Arizon San Ramon, 32, is confined at the same hospital.

The knife fight started at around 10 p.m. along Malaya street, according to Police Officer 2 Michael Maraggun.

Datu and San Ramon both served time at the Manila City Jail and had joined the MCJ’s notorious Sputnik Gang, according to reports.

Witness Elpidio Sabado, 50, another pedicab driver and a neighbor of Datu, said the neighbors only got the chance to approach the two men and bring them to the hospital when they were wounded and no longer able to fight.
