Businessman shot dead in Quiapo

MANILA, Philippines - A businessman was shot dead in San Miguel, Quiapo, Manila on Wednesday night.

Softdrinks dealer Rizalde Caspillo was rushed to the Mary Chiles Hospital where he died while undergoing surgery.

His alleged killers – ice delivery boy Esko Usman, 20, and Jaime Masla, 35 – were arrested and detained at the Manila Police District’s homicide section.

Case investigator Senior Police Officer 2 Jonathan Bautista said the victim was killed at around 8 p.m. inside his store.

“The victim left a dying declaration pointing to Masla as the one who shot him,” Bautista said.
