Man found dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - A 21-year-old man was found dead in Malabon City before dawn yesterday.

Reden Casaclang’s body, with two gunshot wounds, was found along an alley in Flovi Homes, Barangay Tonsuya at around 4:30 a.m.

A witness said Casaclang was apparently killed before midnight on Sunday, during a heavy downpour. Rebeccca Echengyen, 60, said they heard a commotion followed by gunshots but no one in the neighborhood dared to go outside and check because they were afraid.

A relative of Casaclang said the victim joined the Avatar street gang, whose members have been at war with the Siete Bulabog gang.
