Barker killed in Makati

MANILA, Philippines - A 28-year-old jeepney barker was shot dead in Barangay Bangkal, Makati City yesterday.

Randy Galano was chatting with friends in front of a pawnshop along Evangelista street when an unidentified man wearing a baseball cap approached him and shot him at close range at around 2 a.m., police said.

Galano died on the scene from four bullet wounds in the chest and abdomen.

His assailant boarded a car, which sped off toward EDSA. Homicide probers have yet to determine the motive for the shooting.
