Munti waterways yield 240 trucks of trash

MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Muntinlupa City government hauled at least 240 truckloads of garbage from the city’s waterways.

Among the areas covered by the cleanup drive are Sucat, Buli, and Cupang’s Pasong Diablo, the city government said in a report.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi appealed to barangay officials to clean up garbage thrown into the waterways to prevent the garbage from clogging up the drainage system.
