MANILA, Philippines - A vintage bomb was found buried in the mud at the Maysilo Bridge, which is being rehabilitated, in Malabon City yesterday morning.
The 81-millimeter bomb was discovered by Jaymon Dee, who works for EC Structural Construction Works, at around 11:30 a.m., said Senior Police Officer 1 Ignacio Item, Malabon police Special Reaction Unit team leader.
Item said the bomb initially scared the workers, “but it will not explode anymore because it looks like it has been used.â€
