Wheelchair-bound man kills son-in-law

MANILA, Philippines - A man who has been wheelchair-bound for several years shot dead his son-in-law in Caloocan City Sunday night.

Wilfredo Garcia, 53, surrendered to Barangay 93 chairman Sonny Bonifacio after killing Paul John Hernandez in their house.

According to investigators, Hernandez arrived home at around 10:15 p.m. reeking of liquor and chanced upon Garcia, who was in the living room.

Garcia reportedly admonished Hernandez for his lifestyle and it led to a heated argument, during which Garcia shot his son-in-law with a .38 caliber revolver.

Hernandez was rushed to the MCU Hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
