Man nabbed for raping 12-year-old boy

MANILA, Philippines - A 33-year-old man wanted for raping a 12-year-old boy was arrested in Sampaloc, Manila yesterday.

Richard Son was apprehended while he was on a drinking spree at his house by police officers from the Manila Police District’s General Assignment Section.

Son was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Roy Gironella of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 43.

He had been in hiding since allegedly raping the boy on June 6, 2013 and had dropped by his house yesterday to visit his daughter.

Police officers are still looking for Son’s three alleged accomplices in the rape, identified only as Marc Angelo, Michelle and Michael.
