MANILA, Philippines - Three persons were hurt after a truck rammed a passenger jeepney before it crashed into a car showroom in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Police said Edalyn Bolido, 39, and Domingo Clarenimo, 56, both jeepney passengers, and truck driver Rito Zinampan were injured following the mishap at past 4 a.m.
Inspector Benjamin Layug, head of the Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Sector 1, said the three were brought to the East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.
The dump truck driven by Zinampan and the jeepney driven by Juanito Bohol were traversing Quezon Avenue when the truck bumped the rear of the jeepney, Layug said. The wayward truck then swerved and rammed the showroom of Chevrolet, shaterring its glass panel.
