Workers to get free rides at LRT, MRT
MANILA, Philippines - Government and private sector workers will get free rides on the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) on Thursday to mark Labor Day.
The Light Rail Transit Authority, which supervises the operation of the elevated railways, said the free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to all workers who present their company identification card to security or station personnel.
At the MRT, the free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Workers are supposed to present their identification cards, after which they will be given a boarding pass that will be surrendered to the guards at the exit gate, the MRT said in its official Facebook page.
