MANILA, Philippines - The body of a man believed to be a victim of summary execution was dumped in a Quezon City neighborhood on Thursday night.

A piece of paper found beside the victim bore the message, “Holdaper ako, huwag niyo ako tularan (I am a robber. Don’t follow my example),” police said.

The body of the still unidentified man was found by a resident in a dark portion of Arboretum street in Barangay Old Capitol Site at past 9 p.m., Police Officer 2 George Caculba said.

He added that the man was between 50 and 55 years old, about five feet tall, slim, and clad in a striped shirt and brown pants. The man’s head was wrapped with a garbage bag and masking tape and the victim had a deep cut on the forehead.
