1 slain, 2 hurt in Caloocan bar rampage

MANILA, Philippines - A man was killed and two others were wounded when three men went into a shooting rampage in a videoke bar in Caloocan City Monday night. 

Dominador Ricidoro Jr. died on the way to the Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital while Esmeraldo Egos, 62, and Joana Rose Austria, a stay-in employee of JJ Videoke, are still under observation at the same hospital. 

According to initial reports, Ricidoro and Egos were drinking with Austria at around 11 p.m. when the three still unidentified assailants arrived and tried to persuade Austria to leave her guests and join them instead. Austria reportedly rejected the assailants’ proposition until an argument ensued.

Sensing that Ricidoro and Egos were ready to fight, the assailants left but returned a few minutes later and started shooting at the victims. They fled after the shooting.
