FDA warns vs eye drop

Sheila Crisostomo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Food and Drug Administration warned consumers yesterday against using CMD Eye Drop, which the FDA said is an unregistered product being sold in Metro Manila and some provinces.

FDA director general Kenneth Hartigan-Go said the product is being sold for P120 per 15-milliliter bottle and refills are also available.

He said the use of unregistered eye drops may result in inflammation, irritation and infection of the eye or even loss of vision.
