Woman pawns house 50 times

MANILA, Philippines - A 46-year-old woman was arrested in Malabon City Sunday for allegedly pawning her house and lot 50 times to different persons.

Jessy Cosina was charged with large-scale estafa after Vincent Francisco filed a complaint against her with the Malabon police.

A police report stated that Cosina tried to pawn her house to Francisco for P100,000, but Francisco received information that the property had already been pawned to several creditors.

Francisco sought the assistance of the city police, which staged an entrapment. Several persons filed complaints against Cosina yesterday, police said.
