Pasay to host World Economic Forum

MANILA, Philippines - The Pasay City government will host of the 23rd World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia from May 21 to 23 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The forum will be attended by heads of state, CEOs, political, academic, business leaders and other global leaders that shape global, regional and industry agendas and trends.

The city government will beautify Roxas Boulevard and Gil Puyat Avenue and focus on traffic management and logistical concerns in coordination with the Philippine National Police, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and neighboring cities of Makati, Manila and Parañaque, Pasay Mayor Antonino Calixto said.

The upcoming summit will discuss issues related to the plan to create by 2015 an integrated Association of Southeast Asian Nations economic Community to allow the easier movement of people, investments, goods and services within the region.
