Lawyer gunned down

MANILA, Philippines - A 54-year-old corporate lawyer was shot dead in Sta. Ana, Manila yesterday morning.

Clemente Laudencia, who worked for San Miguel Corp. and owned a printing press in Manila, was in his car when he was attacked by gunmen on a red motorcycle at around 10 a.m. His driver was unhurt.

Laudencia suffered gunshot wounds in the neck, body and arms. He died while undergoing treatment at the Sta. Ana Hospital.

Investigators have yet to find out why Laudencia was killed.
