Cop arrested for killing ex-girlfriend’s lover

MANILA, Philippines - A police captain from Angono, Rizal, wanted for killing the lover of his ex-girlfriend, was arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) Thursday.

Inspector Bricks Reamillo was nabbed in the Angono police station, where he is the deputy commander.

“He seemed to have been waiting for us,” MPD homicide division chief Inspector Steve Casimiro said.

He said it seemed Reamillo was unaware that he has killed Rizalino Ragel, 33, after he shot him on Wednesday night. Reamillo surrendered peacefully, Casimiro added.

Ragel was shot in the chest while in the house of Loreta Onecer, who was Reamillo’s former girlfriend. A hot-headed Reamillo was then forcing Onecer to reconcile with him.
