Fire hits Pasig warehouse

Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A fire at a Pasig City warehouse used to store paper products was reported to be under control 14 hours after it started Monday afternoon.

The blaze started in one portion of the Anson Paper Warehouse in Barangay Manggahan at around 3 p.m. Strong winds spread the flames to other parts of the warehouse.

The Pasig City fire department and other firefighters in Metro Manila and Rizal province battled the fire until it was “contained” some 14 hours later.

As of 3 p.m. yesterday, firefighters on at least seven fire trucks were at the scene to prevent the fire from re-igniting.

No one was hurt in the fire. Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blaze and how much property was lost.
