MANILA, Philippines - A woman and a girl, believed to be her daughter, were found dead near Treston International College at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig yesterday morning.

The woman, approximately 30 to 34 years old, and the girl were found along C-5 Road sprawled beside each other at the base of an electric post at around 6 a.m., Southern Police District director Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte said.

The victims had head injuries that could have been caused by a blunt object, he said, adding that “investigators found at the crime scene rocks that have traces of blood. But we are still investigating.”

According to Villacorte, they are still trying to find out the identities of the victims.

He also said investigators are talking to a witness who saw the woman talking with an unidentified man at the crime scene at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

“The witness saw the woman, who was holding the child, talking with the man while they were sitting on the pavement gutter,” he said.

Villacorte said a sketch of the man is being done by the Taguig police based on the description given by the suspect.

Taguig Police chief Senior Superintendent Arthur Asis described the woman as about five feet tall, fair-skinned and with long black hair. She was clad in a red shirt and blue denim pants.

The girl, fair-skinned and approximately six years old, was wearing a red t-shirt and printed pants, Asis said.

No identification papers were found with the victims, whose bodies were taken to the Lady of Loreto Funeral Homes in Taguig City, he added.
