Jilted lover attempts suicide

MANILA, Philippines - A 24-year-old man tried to commit suicide after his partner allegedly left him for a woman last Sunday in Valenzuela City.

Jayson Constante locked himself up in the comfort room and stabbed himself twice, police said.

He was rushed by responding village watchmen and his roommates to the Valenzuela General Hospital.

Constante said he wanted to take his own life after his partner broke up with him to be with a woman.
