Milk tea shop robbed in QC

Janvic Mateo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Two unidentified men robbed a milk tea shop in Quezon City Friday night, weeks after a similar incident happened in a coffee shop.

Police Officer 3 Jovy Pobre said the robbers entered the I Love Milk Tea House along Visayas Avenue in Barangay Culiat at around 7:20 p.m.

The two first posed as customers, but one of them suddenly pulled a handgun and robbed the employees, who were the only ones in the shop at the time, Pobre said.

The robbers took P10,000 in earnings, a computer monitor and two mobile phones amounting to P3,000, he said. The robbers sped away on a motorcycle following the heist.

On Feb. 1, two men robbed the owner and customers of the Cordillera Coffee Shop along Xavierville Avenue in Barangay Loyola Heights.

Reports said the robbers – one of whom even had coffee before the heist – took more than P200,000 worth of cash and valuables from the victims.
