Robbers shoot woman in the face

MANILA, Philippines - A 22-year-old woman survived being shot in the face by robbers in North Caloocan City Thursday night.

Christine Demiar was in a passenger jeepney bound for Quezon City shortly before 7 p.m. when two men boarded the vehicle in front of Gozzap Supermarket along the main road of Bagong Silang.

A few minutes later, the men, armed with a.38 caliber revolver, grabbed Demiar’s bag. The victim fought off the robbers but one of them shot her in the face.

Demiar was rushed to the Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital. No arrests were made.
