Barber nabbed for drug pushing

MANILA, Philippines - A barber in Malabon City was arrested Monday night after police officers found that he was reportedly using his shop as a front to sell illegal drugs.

Rufino Balino, 45, and Enrico Ico, 51, were apprehended after they allegedly sold shabu to undercover police officers at around 8 p.m.

Investigators said Balino, who was under surveillance for several weeks prior to the drug bust, would bring the illegal drugs to Ico’s house for repacking.

Nine sachets of shabu were recovered from the suspects.
