Body found in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - The body of a man believed to be a victim of summary execution was found in Tala, Caloocan City before dawn yesterday.

The victim had gunshot wounds in the head and body, bore signs of torture and had been hogtied with a nylon rope, investigators said.

The body was found along Main Road in Phase 12 at around 5 a.m. Seven spent .45 caliber shells were found nearby, according to police.

A resident identified the victim only as Simon.

Two weeks ago, at least three suspected victims of summary execution were found in Caloocan.
