MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has not approved permits for road repairs on Valentine’s Day to prevent traffic gridlocks, an official said yesterday.
The road repairs were suspended due to the heavy volume of vehicles expected along major roads in Metro Manila for Valentine’s Day as well as an Iglesia ni Cristo gathering scheduled in Manila on the same day, MMDA assistant general manager Emerson Carlos said during the agency’ weekly program on radio station dzBB.
