Man, 50, kills 61-year-old girlfriend

MANILA, Philippines - A 50-year-old man reportedly shot dead his 61-year-old girlfriend in her house in Caloocan City Tuesday.

According to reports, Jesus Aguirre confronted Julie Bobis in her house at around 2 p.m., accusing her of seeing a much younger man.

As they argued, Aguirre reportedly pulled out a .45 caliber pistol and repeatedly shot Bobis. A stray bullet hit the right foot of Anna Castillano, 40, a manicurist who was having a meal at a nearby eatery, police said.

Bobis was declared dead on arrival at the Valenzuela General Hospital while Aguirre is the subject of a manhunt, police said.
