Cop loses gadgets, gun to burglars

MANILA, Philippines - A policeman lost P21,000 in valuables and a gun when burglars broke into his house in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City over the weekend.

Police Officer 3 Dexter Baloran, 32, and his live-in partner left their house on Goldenshower street to go to a wake at around 9 p.m. Sunday. When they came home at around 6 a.m. Monday, they saw one of the windows had been destroyed and the house in disarray.

Baloran told investigators that a Pietro Beretta 9mm pistol, a Samsung Galaxy Y cell phone worth P5,000; a Samsung Galaxy S4 worth P8,000; and P8,000 were missing from his house.

PO3 Gilmer Marinas said Baloran is assigned to the Aviation Security Group.
