MANILA, Philippines - Two of three suspected robbers were killed in an ambush along the Lagusnilad underpass in front of Manila City Hall Thursday night.

Police have yet to establish their identities but said the man with “Sharmlyn” and BCJ 32 tattoos on his back died on the spot. BCJ stands for Batang City Jail, a popular jailhouse gang.

The Manila Police District added that victim, who wore camouflage shorts, could be between 35 to 40 years and stood about 5’9” tall.

Ariel Dalida, 24, was declared dead on arrival at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) due to multiple gunshot wounds.

The third victim, Rudy Fernandez, remains confined in PGH. Fernandez had been previously charged for robbery.

Investigators said the three may have been attacked for swindling other members of their gang.

Police Officer 3 Marlon San Pedro said the victims were shot at around 6 p.m. Prior to that, they were seen roaming around the Lagusnilad underpass.
