Girl raped, killed in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines - A nine-year-old girl was found with her throat slit after she was raped in a dark, grassy area in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig Friday night.

A suspect, Mario Cruz, was arrested by the police. He denied any involvement in the girl’s death, police said.

Investigators said the girl’s grandmother had sent the victim to buy diapers around 30 minutes before her body was found.
