American found dead in QC hotel

MANILA, Philippines - An American man was found dead in a hotel room along Timog Avenue in Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Dominic Joseph Salfi, 50, was found lying face down on his bed by employees of Tune Hotel, where he checked into the night before.

Police Officer 2 Alvin Quisumbing said a three-page handwritten will was also found in the room.

Salfi’s body was discovered after hotel employees opened the locked room at the insistence of the victim’s girlfriend. Police officers said there were no signs of external injury on the victim’s body.

The woman had arrived at the hotel and asked the management to open Salfi’s room since he was not responding to her calls. Salfi had been living in Barangay Almanza, Las Piñas City and had checked into the hotel at around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
