Malabon holds Christmas concert

MANILA, Philippines - The Malabon City government held a benefit concert for residents Saturday night.

The concert featured symphonic bands; flutist Sonny Yangco; actress Angelica dela Cruz, the newly elected chairperson of Barangay Longos; singer Gerard Santos and several dance groups.

Present during the concernt were Mayor Antolin Oreta III; his mother, former senator Tessie Aquino-Oreta; and other celebrities who are residents of the city.

“The concert was conceived not only as a gift to the people of Malabon, but also a show of solidarity by all the important personalities who have made a name for themselves in different aspects of life who are residing in Malabon,” public information office chief Bong Padua said.
