Pregnant teen, parents slain by ex-boyfriend

MANILA, Philippines - A pregnant teenager and her parents were massacred, reportedly by her ex-boyfriend, in their home in Navotas City yesterday morning.

Jocelyn Denullang and her parents, Cecilio and Rosa, were shot dead in their house on Everlasting street in San Roque at around 7:30 a.m., according to a police report. Cecilio, 55, was a former traffic enforcer.

According to investigators, Jocelyn’s former boyfriend – identified only as “Jeje” – became angry when he learned that Jocelyn was six months pregnant by another man after they separated a few months ago, when Jocelyn’s parents rejected him.

It was unclear why Cecilio and Rosa rejected Jeje, who vowed that he would not allow Jocelyn to be with another man, investigators reported.

Police officers said that Jeje, armed with a .45 caliber and a 9mm pistol, barged into the Denullang residence and shot the victims repeatedly, making sure that Jocelyn and her parents were dead before escaping.

They also reported that Jeje shot at people in the neighborhood before escaping.
