Santa run for Yolanda orphans set

MANILA, Philippines - The Pasay City government is organizing a fundraiser dubbed “Be a Santa Run” for the benefit of Typhoon Yolanda orphans on Dec. 14 at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Mayor Antonino Calixto said the event is their way of showing their solidarity with the people of the Visayas in their efforts to rise from the devastation brought by the typhoon.

“This Christmas season may be bleak for the people in the Visayas who have lost everything. But we want to send a message to them that we are here to help and that we will do what we can to help them rise from the tragedy,” Calixto said.
