Teen hurt in 5-floor fall from condo

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Pakistani teenager was reported to be in critical condition after falling from the fifth floor of a condominium in Quezon City Thursday night.

Sadf Salam, 14, remains unconscious at the intensive care unit of Capitol Medical Center following the incident at Bright Place Condominium along Scout Bayoran Road in Barangay South Triangle, said Senior Police Officer 1 Virginia Surban.

Surban said the girl fell from the fifth floor terrace of the building at past 5 p.m.

Surban said the teenager had been staying with her 26-year-old sister at a unit on the fifth floor of the condominium building. Also staying there is the girl’s brother-in-law and her two younger nieces.

It was not clear yet why Salam fell from the condominium. Police said the terrace where the victim fell is located at an end of the hallway of the building.

Surban said they will check the footage of surveillance cameras on the fifth floor of the building to find out what had happened.

A janitor of the condominium heard a loud crash on the ground and, when he checked, he saw the teenager unconscious on an outdoor table.      – Reinir Padua
