11,000 new criminologists

MANILA, Philippines - The country has over 11,000 new licensed  criminologists, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.

The PRC said of the 24,779 examinees, a total of 11,217 passed the Criminology Licensure Examination held in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga and Pagadian.

University of Cagayan Valley graduate Ronald Moldero topped the examination with a grade of 90.30 percent followed by University of Baguio graduate Abbas Macadatar , who obtained a score of 90.15 percent.

Third placer was Cagayan de Oro College graduate Bernardo Abian, who scored 89.95 percent, while Jonathan Binarao of the University of Manila ranked fourth with 89.55 percent.

Gregor Gacus of the University of Cebu placed fifth with 89.30 percent, followed  by Robinson Lucena of the Philippine College of Criminology with 89.2 percent.

Roseller Montaniel Jr. of the Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College took the seventh spot with 89.15 percent, while Mark Madalang Jr. of the University of Cordilleras placed eight with 89.10 percent.

Jeremiah Jodloman of Bulacan State University was ninth with 89.05 while another Bulacan State University graduate Gettro Chad Guillermo and Cagayan de Oro College graduate Eugene Zambrano shared the 10th spot, both with 88.95 percent.
